I had the good fortune to be born to Sicilian parents. My father was born and raised in Carlentini near Syracusa, and my mother was born in Termini Imerese near Palermo. Dad showed me a love of music, and from mama a love of cooking. Holidays were always special growing up because I always knew that there would be something extra from those loving hands, heart and God-given talents that would provide us all with the tastes we all look forward to such as: Pasticciotti at Christmas, cake in the shape of a lamb at Easter, and always given so generously with love and warmth. Nothing ever looked or taste so good.
